FAQs

What's the difference between the new SafeguardPlus™ and the older model?

The SafeguardPlus™ baby bottle washer is upgraded for higher feeding safety and hygiene in below key ways:
- Built-in water purification removes lead, PFAS, and hard minerals, safer at the source.
- Larger capacity for 8 bottle sets, pump parts.
- 360° deep clean reaches every nook and curve.
- Twice the drying power ensures fully dry, spotless bottles.

How can I check my home's water quality?

- Lead: Check your local government’s website using your ZIP code.
- Hardness: Use a TDS meter to test mineral levels. We recommend use water under 50 ppm or distilled water to prevent limescale build-up.

I mostly breastfeed, but use bottles occasionally. Do I need a washer?

Not necessarily. If you're hand-washing just 1-2 bottles a day, our Sterilizer Pro is your perfect match.
Just be sure to hand-wash with treated water first, then let Sterilizer Pro handle the sterilizing and drying. Its extra-large capacity fits everything else baby touches - teethers, pacifiers, nipple shields & first spoons!
If you'd prefer to skip hand-washing and avoid buying treated water, SafeguardPlus is your match.

Can the washers handle breast pump parts?

Yes. Both washers fit major pump brands. The SafeguardPlus™ has more room for larger pump setups thanks to its 8-bottle capacity.

Do I really need water filtration if I already boil water?

Boiling kills bacteria, but it does not remove lead, PFAS, or hard minerals. Filtration addresses what heat cannot.
