Swing Recall FAQs

WHY IS THIS RECALL HAPPENING?

In accordance with CPSC’s new Safe Sleep for Babies Act, which can apply to a broad range of baby products, including baby swings, Papablic is updating our Archie Baby Swing to better communicate that the product is not intended for sleep.

We want to emphasize that the Archie Baby Swing should not be used for sleeping purposes under all circumstances. However, if your baby falls asleep while in the swing, remove the baby and place it on a firm, flat surface such as a crib or bassinet. Using the Papablic Archie Baby Swing or any product with an angle above 10 degrees is not safe for sleep.

Please note that there have been no reported incidents with the Papablic Archie Baby Swing.

New government regulations require that we update warning labels and instructions on the product, packaging, and marketing of the Papablic Archie Baby Swing to make it clear to consumers that infant swings are not safe for babies to sleep in.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PAPABLIC ARCHIE BABY SWING IS AFFECTED BY THE RECALL?

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY REPORTS OF INJURIES USING THE PAPABLIC ARCHIE BABY SWING?

No. Although all purchasers are satisfied with the product, we are recalling all products out of an abundance of caution. All products are rigorously and routinely tested for consumer safety and comply with consumer product safety standards and requirements.

CAN I USE THE PAPABLIC ARCHIE BABY SWING FOR INFANT SLEEP?

No. The swings pose a suffocation risk if used for infant sleep because they have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, which is not permitted under CPSC's Infant Sleep Products Regulation and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. Consumers should never use the recalled swings for sleep.
